Ron MarletterRon has over 20 years of experience as a highly energetic, optimistic, visionary leader. He has devoted his professional, and personal life to achieving excellence in entrepreneurship and nonprofit organizational development. He now brings his years of hands-on experience and proven ability to help other nonprofits, leaders, and boards, achieve excellence and ongoing sustainability for the future.

He is a proven community organizer with a public-private partnership expertise. He is also a proven nonprofit organizational leader, skilled and experienced in bringing together public-private partnerships in association with elected and appointed public officials, businesses, and faith leaders. He possesses additional experience in executive coaching, leadership development, team building, capital campaigns, and nonprofit/for Profit organizational development.

As a professional speaker, writer, and life coach he helps individuals and organizations grow their teams, increase morale and increase productivity.  

Ron founded Mission Solano, a nonprofit Rescue Mission, May 1, 1998, working from a donated office and intent on turning his unique vision into a life-changing reality for the growing population of homeless and socially disadvantaged in Solano County. Mission Solano has become one of the county's leading non-profits for homelessness, and has grown to include a campus and staff of over 50 employees and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Since 1998, Ron's leadership has helped Mission Solano raise over $40,000,000 for services to Solano County's homeless and poverty stricken residents.

Ron possesses the ability to develop leaders, boards, organizations, and "community buy in" with a get-it-done attitude which encompasses his twenty three years of experience as a highly energetic, optimistic, visionary leader.  

Ron possesses a strong national reputation for his work in nonprofit organizational development and all components of it. His "Highway to Success"™ brings Leadership-Management-and Accountability into balanced growth, and implementation, ensuring the ongoing success of individuals and organizations.

Education:

  • Multnomah University Portland Oregon with a Bachelor of Science.
  • UCLA Anderson School of Management.
  • Training in Brief Therapy for Relapse Prevention for chemical dependency and behavioral health problems;
  • Completed the IUGM West Coast Training School Nonprofit Executive Directors
  • Completed numerous and extensive leadership, coaching, consulting, and development Seminars.
  • Presently serves as the founding CEO/ED of Mission Solano Rescue Mission, Fairfield, CA.
  • Other leadership position held was 8 years as Chaplain/Program Director for the Portland Rescue Mission.

Volunteer Leadership Positions:

Six years on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce; currently serves on the Fairfield Police Citizen Audit Committee; served on the Board of Multnomah University Alumni, PharmaTox; served on the Elder Board for Central Bible Church in Portland OR, and Parkway Community Church in Fairfield CA. Along with these volunteer positions, Ron has provided countless hours of consulting and coaching for nonprofits, for profits, and leaders, helping to sustain their leadership and their organizations for the future.

Awards Received:

  • Dennis Spearman Award - chosen by Multnomah Bible College faculty on the basis of Christian life and testimony
  • Claire Grieve Service Award - awarded to the student with the most outstanding contribution in Christian service, evangelism and spiritual life of the college.
  • Annual Faculty Award - awarded to the student who is an example of those whose spiritual maturity produces a healthy and positive influence in the student body.

Ron has also received awards from California's past Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Congress Woman Lois Wolk, for his unique programs and community leadership as well as receiving the Martin Luther King, Jr. "Living the Dream" Achievement Award as a member of his community whose work and achievements that embodies the "dream" of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
